Fed up of paying someone else to take up your clothes?
This workshop teaches the invaluable basic alteration techniques to build up the basic skills you need to alter your clothes and revamp your wardrobe.
Learn how to measure, cut and sew with confidence to create different types of hems both by hand and on the sewing machine to shorten or lengthen using the appropriate method for the garment.
With this under your belt, learn how to mark, unpick and pin alterations into place to take in or let out garments using darts and other clever tricks.
We’ll show you how to get the most out of your sewing machine using specialist feet and stitches to create a blind hem and sew a button on.
As this is not a beginner’s workshop, you must have some experience on a sewing machine or have attended one of our Beginner sewing workshops.
Based at a Home Studio in Chorlton.
