Come and join Adrienne McMurdo from Snuggle and Squish for a super satisfying arm knitting workshop and take home your own super chunky, snuggly blanket! This class is suitable for total beginners – no knitting or crafting experience is required. You’ll be taught how to use your arms as knitting needles and you’ll create your whole blanket before the workshop has ended.
Your finished blanket will measure approximately 150cm x 80cm. The exact size will vary depending on the tension of your yarn and the size of your stitches. This is what makes every blanket so unique. We will teach you how to cast on, knit the stitches, cast off and how to keep your blanket in tip top condition.
You will need a 2kg ball of vegan friendly ‘Mammoth Giant Acrylic Extreme Knitting Yarn’ from the masters of extreme knitting, Woolly Mahoosive. Available in lots of lovely colours to choose from, order directly from their website (£37 plus £6.85 delivery) and bring it along to the workshop with you.
If you prefer, contact us with your colour choice from the above two photos and Snuggle and Squish will order your yarn for you (£37) and it will be waiting for you at the workshop and will save you £6.85 on the delivery cost.
Based at Oppidan Social in the heart of the Northern Quarter, you’ll be able to enjoy complimentary coffee and cake or any of the other hot and cold refreshments on offer!

It’s best to leave your jewellery and watches at home so they don’t get caught in your yarn and we recommend wearing short sleeves – don’t worry about getting cold, you’ll be toasty and warm as the blanket grows up your arms and down your lap.
Refreshments will be available at the workshop and you are also welcome to bring along your own.
