A garment designed to be the perfect versatile wear, whether you want a breezy day-time look in a fun cotton print or a dress for a special occasion, this project has you covered. You get to choose the length – go for a chic dress or a stylish top, the choice is entirely yours! Join Alison Leese, expert seamstress and owner of Ministry of Craft, for this one-day dressmaking workshop.
Using a fabric of your choice (see ‘What to Bring’), master essential dressmaking techniques as well as using one of our Janome overlockers for a professional finish to raw edges.
This fashion-forward tunic features a flattering boat neck and inset sleeves and you decide the length, ensuring your tunic is uniquely yours. During the workshop, you’ll master essential techniques like sewing darts, inserting inset sleeves, and adding a neck facing. You’ll not only create a beautiful tunic but also gain valuable sewing skills that will boost your confidence and creativity.

Tea and coffee will be available at the workshop and you are welcome to bring along your own refreshments. There will be a break to eat, so please bring along some lunch or you can pop out to a local shop.
Our sponsors, Janome, supply computerised sewing machines (5060 QDC) and where required overlockers (6234XL). Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring along your own machines.
