MINISTRYMAKES WINNER - AUGUST 18

Angela has been very busy since attending our Learn to Sew and Introduction to Curtain and Blind Making workshops. She made these stunning curtains for her holiday let in Coniston and has more sewing based business opportunities on the horizon.

I've always had an interest in crafts and sewing but never found the time. Then, when the kids had all left home I had more time for myself, I searched the Internet for courses when we were thinking of a possible B&B as I wanted to do as much as possible myself.

I found the sewing classes great fun, very sociable and have encouraged friends to have a look at what classes Ministry of Craft does. Once the business is up and running, I am hoping to do some dress making. There is a honest shop in Coniston village so I will soon be making tote and make-up bags to sell.

I found the material for the curtains at Standfast and Barracks in Lancaster from the recommendation during the workshop and now find myself calling in the factory shop every time I'm in Lancaster (addicted!).

Well done Angela, you are a worthy winner and we look forward to seeing you on a dress making class.

Join us for Introduction to Curtain and Blind making on June 4th if you would like to have a go at making you own too.

A six-month subscription to Love Sewing Magazine is on the way to Angela
