Christine attended our Sew Social workshop and made this incredible vintage Vogue dress (V8999). The dress required a mere 6m of fabric!
Christine made a head start before the class by cutting out and sewing together all of the many panels in the skirt, just leaving an opening for a side zip.
It didn't take Christine long to make the bodice up, then with the help of our tutor, Jeanette, the skirt and bodice were fitted together and on Christine.
After inserting a concealed zip and finishing off the neck and sleeve openings with a binding, Christine took the dress home to let the hem hang for a couple of days then she had the mammoth task of sewing the hem!
Well done Christine, you are a worthy winner and the dress looks so amazing, look forward to seeing you again soon.
A six-month subscription to Love Sewing Magazine is on the way to Christine.
If you have a pattern you would like to give a go under our guidance, the next Sew Social workshop is the 28th Jan.
