Sashiko-Inspired Visible Mending

£37.00

Turn your old threads into wearable art in this Sashiko stitching workshop, hosted by Caroline Coates from Creative Coati.

Sashiko is a traditional Japanese stitching technique used to reinforce worn fabric with repeated running stitches, often arranged in geometric patterns. Today it’s widely used for visible mending—repairing clothing while making the repair part of the design.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, with all materials provided, you’ll learn simple stitches and decorative techniques to customise your clothes using this approach, adding both design features and functionality so you can enjoy wearing them for longer.

You’ll leave with skills and the confidence to continue visible mending at home  to repair clothes you no longer wear because they have holes, frayed areas, or signs of wear.

If the date you require is sold out, contact us with the workshop name and date, so we can let you know if a place becomes available or when the new date goes on sale.

Our workshops are non-refundable and can only be changed to an alternative date with 14 days’ notice, so please make sure you’ve checked your diary carefully before booking. Please see our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
