£32.50per half metre
Date & Time: Sat 08 April 2017, 15.00-17.00
Tutor: Clair Rigby
Places Remaining: 2
Skill level: Beginner
Venue: Fred Aldous
In this introduction to beadwork you will be learning how to bead 'weave' - using a specialist needle and thread to stitch lots of teeny, tiny seed beads to each other to form a new shape! You'll learn about the beads used in beadwork (including the sparkly ones) and, by the end of the class, will have conquered some of the basic beadwork stitches to create your own pendant and matching earrings.
Your kit for the class will include everything that you need and will include a tutorial, beading needle, thread, seed beads, findings and, most importantly, some bling in the form of Swarovski pearls or crystals. There will be a choice of colours on offer on the day, so there should be something to suit everyone! (Please bring your specs if you need them for close up work or for reading!)
Please note there will not be time to complete all of the items during the workshop but you will go away with the skills and materials to finish at home.
This class is suitable for complete beginners or those looking for a little extra inspiration/confidence.
Ministry of Craft customers get 15% off all fabrics in our online shop and 10% discount at Fred Aldous. Discount codes and other offers from our crafty friends will be emailed with your booking confirmation.
