    Tailor Made Lampshade Review

    Tailor Made Lampshade Review

Tailor Made Lampshade Review by Sarah Welton

I've hated every lampshade in our house since we moved in a year ago and so the Ministry of Craft workshop seemed a no brainer. Consequently one grey Saturday afternoon in central Manchester off I went to the basement of Fred Aldous to do the lampshade course.

There were four other people in my group and Sam our tutor was very warm and welcoming. She talked us through all the stages so that our material miraculous joined together with the wire circles and two hours later I had the most amazing and highly professional looking lampshade.

I was so inspired that I've taken full advantage of the discount offered by Fred Aldous to course members and bought rings and a meter of the special backing plastic.

My lampshade was up as soon as I arrived home, encouraging my 3 year old daughter, Eva, to come up with her own interpretation!

I'm sure that in a few weeks all my hideous lampshades will be things of the past and not only will I have beautiful lampshades but I will be able to proudly say I made them myself!

Thanks Sarah for attending the workshop and your review. If you would like to impress and make your own lampshades too, the next scheduled workshop is 22nd July 2017.
