What have you all been sewing lately? Here's a little update on my sewing adventures!
I was inspired recently when I popped my head in to our Introduction to Bodice Fitting (http://www.ministryofcraft.co.uk/workshops/all-courses/c160911-pattern-cutting-introduction-to-bodice-fitting) workshop and decided to turn my bodice block into a top. We are very excited to have a new tutor, Clair Rigby, joining the Ministry of Craft team. Clair is going to be teaching BEADED JEWELLERY: INTRODUCTION TO BEADWORK (http://www.ministryofcraft.co.uk/workshops/jewellery-making).

Chunky cardigans aren't really the order of the day at the moment but you'll thank yourself for investing the sewing time once the autumn frosts roll in!
I love cardigans, especially ones that you can wear over a plain dress to liven up an outfit. The hardest thing about sewing them yourself is finding the right type of fabric. We've been scouring one of our favourite online fabric stores and we've found some cardigan friendly knits that'll look stylish and keep the cockles warm.
We have a winner for this months #MinistryMakes competition!
Well done Valerie and thank you for sharing only your second creation following your introduction to the wonderful world of sewing.
It is Valerie's god-daughter's new favourite reversible square scarf, made with the fabulous Lina Morata fabrics Cloud Tears in coral/pink/grey blue and plumetis coral and the Camelot Cottons fabric It's a Bird Life in pink and coral.

I love the course it was my first one and I actually made a purse, so proud of it. The tutor was really patient and was a true professional but friendly.
