It’s official, we’re making knitting as easy as 1, 2, 3 - hence the name. For those of you out there who are raring to master the basics, you’ll learn everything you need to know on this course, specially designed by Artyarn.
Whether you’re a beginner with ambition or have neglected your needles, Rachael Elwell will take you through a range of skills including basic knitting and purling, how to increase and decrease and demystifying patterns, to name a few.
With no holds barred you’ll be learning to cable stitch and experiment with colours in no time at all. It’s so addictive you’ll find your self knitting, not only in front of the TV, but in the park, on the bus, the possibilities are endless…
Make and Take: Samples of all of the techniques learnt and your knitting needles!
Skills at a glance: Basic knit and purl stitches, casting on and casting off, how to increase and decrease, read a pattern, make a cable stitch and how to do intarsia knitting (knitting with two colours).
Tutors: Rachael Elwell
Need to know: All materials will be supplied for this course, although you may wish to bring along your own choice of coloured yarn when using colours. This knitting course is suitable for complete beginners and those who want to dust off their needles.
