Haven’t got the patience to knit? Afraid of sewing machines?

Why not try your hand at felting and learn how to turn brightly coloured raw wool into funky felted balls perfect for jewellery making, and flat pieces that can be used in a wide range of projects.
All this just with your hands, a bit of good old-fashioned elbow grease and a clever felting needle… not a machine in sight.

Make and Take: Handmade felt pieces and felted balls

Skills at a glance: Basic felting techniques and further embellishment skills including working with sequins, sheer fabrics and beads.
