Got a sense of humour? Want to learn to sew? Create something with a real difference and sew your creative personality into a truly unique Sockee!

Spend a fun and relaxing morning with textile artist, Anna Creighton, learning basic sewing skills and the art of turning old and new socks into one of these delightful characters, with you and your imagination, sewing its very own story.

We’ll provide oodles of ribbons, buttons, scraps of fabric and threads and of course the main ingredient - socks, to inspire you and bring your Sockee to life. You’ll be free to create under the close guidance and tuition of Anna, who’ll help you develop your sewing skills.

We just dare you, double dog dare you in fact, to try and give it away once it’s finished…

Make and Take: Your own individual Sockee creation (in the form of a soft toy with lots of personality from new and recycled socks)

Skills at a glance: Basic hand sewing skills, fabric manipulation, how to sew a button on, using ribbons and fabric for adornment.

Tutor: Anna Creighton

Need to know: All materials and equipment are supplied for this course but you are welcome to bring along any socks, ribbons, button etc to help you create your character.
